Wow, I love technology so I figure I can share the stuff I use.
Camera
Canon EOS 450D also known as the XSI (58 mm)
Lens: Canon: EF-S 55-250MM with built in Image stabilization (is)
Lens: Canon EFS 18-55mm with Image Stabalization (this is the lens that comes with the XSI)
Camera: Sony DSC-H3. Point and shoot 8.1 megapixel. This is a great camera to stick in you pocket. instead of lugging aroud SLR. I also bring it so that family and friends can use it and not want to play with my new camera. 
Filter
Circular Polarizing Filter: Its like buying sunglasses for your camera. I learn that for digital cameras that a linier filter will not work. So I got the circular kind ($50 at local camera store)
Music
Zune 80 gig. This bad boy lets me watch full motion pictures. Maintains my video and audio podcasts. It has its own easy to use interface. Even people without a Zune player are using it for listening and downloading their music.
